Alaphar was born on 4 Sep 1807 to Edmund Green and Elizabeth Watson Green. She was their only daughter. The family farmed in Christian County, KY about 10 miles north of Hopkinsville, KY. She met her husband, Thomas Simpson Williams, in Christian County. There is no record of their marriage. In the Fall of 1827, Simpson and his brothers left Christian County for Perry County, IL. Simpson's father, William, had land holding around Tamaroa, IL. Simpson never returned for Alaphar. She moved to Graves County with her parents. Simpson married Margery Dixon in Perry County and had two children by her. Simpson died in 1837 and Fidelio sued for his portion of the estate and was awarded his portion. The Greens moved from Kentucky to Cole County, MO (Hickory Hills area) in the early 1840's. He father, Edmund, died there in 1844. She lived with her brother William and then with her son, Fidelio, when he married. On 10 Jun 1872 she married Robert Basnett in Moniteau County, MO. Robert died the next year. She then lived with her son and his new wife, Sarah Alifir Russell. Allie was her grand neice. Alaphar died on 15 Aug 1884 and is buried in Enloe Cemetery near her son and mother.
