In 1803 through 1820 he is on the tax rolls in Tazewell County, VA. In 1825 he is on the tax rolls in Lawrence County, KY (the land is now in Floyd county).  He and his son, James moved to Benton County, MO. He purchased land a mile due south of Warsaw, MO. He lived there to the late 1840's. It is believed that his wife died there and he left after her death. He moved to St. Johns, Oh and lived with his son, John Milton.
