Elizabeth was born on 25 Aug 1914 in Quincy, IL to John C. Ludwig and Mary A. Schmitt in the family home at 710 Washington. She was the only girl with 5 older brothers (she was called "SIS" by all). Elizabeth attended St. Peters Grade School and graduated from Notre Dame Quincy. In her junior year, her mother died. Her father started dating a woman a couple of years older than Elizabeth. She left home and lived with her brother, Norb.  Elizabeth married William Warner Williams on 7 Nov 1934, Fr. Masterson officiated. After the marriage she worked with her husband at their grocery at 1201 Broadway. In the early 1960's she worked for the St. Peter's cafeteria and worked there until the late 1970's. She died on 23 Jun 2000 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Quincy, IL.
